Bread baking
Recipe: the-easiest-loaf-of-bread-youll-ever-bake-recipe
550g + 50g flour 400g water 5-10g yeast (1 pack) 1 tablespoon sugar 1/2 tablespoon salt
- Keep 50g of flour apart and mix everything else in a bowl
- Knead the dough on a counter with your spare flour until elastic, about 5-10m
- Let it rise in a warm place for 1-2h
- Remove, deflate, split in 2 equal pieces
- Fold each piece in on itself, then roll it
- Let them rise for 45 more minutes
- Warm up the oven to 225C
- If using trays, baking spray them, or oil them
- Place the loaves on the trays. Slash each of them diagonally with a knife 3-4 times
- You may want to sprinkle some flour or sesame on top before putting in
- Cover with aluminium foil
- Bake for 15m, then remove the aluminium and bake for 10-12 more
- Turn off the oven, open the door, let it be for 5 more minutes
- Remove from oven, and let it cool down on a rail or other place where the bottom can cool evenly
