Body
Body
Jennifer’s body
The body electric
The body is treated often as a vessel, and I’m no exception.
I am, after all, an intellectual. Like Plato. Right? RIGHT?
I’ve been trying to embody more. To feel my body. To listen to my body. I failed at it. A lot.
And here’s this guy (Paul Aster), and he’s reminiscing on all the thing he’s felt on his body, and smelled, and touched, and all the pleasures and all the pains.
Of all the things his body has given him, so many of them mine has given too. My body has been such a faithful servant.
Maybe I need to pay more attention. The things are happening already. Lords, the things my body does for me already!
To embody, I think, is not a question of the body. Stupidly enough. To embody is a question of the mind.
The body has always been there.
